Raghav Chadha Pushes for free annual health check
Raghav Chadha urged to conduct an annual health check -up, which is a legal right after Kovid -19, highlighting the growing heart attack and health issues in India.

In short
- Raghav Chadha raised health concerns during the monsoon session
- Heart attacks and health issues have rapidly increased Post Covid -19
- Chadha demanded legal rights for annual health check
Rajya Sabha MP and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha expressed a serious health concern during the recent monsoon session of Parliament. In a post on X, Chadha said that heart attack and other health problems in India have increased rapidly, especially after Kovid -19 epidemic.
To deal with this growing health crisis, Chadha demanded that the annual health check should be made a legal right to every Indian citizen.
In his post, Chadha wrote, “Post Covid -19, we are watching a sharp growth in heart failures and other health issues. Initial detection can save life.”
He said that many developed countries provide free annual health check -up to all the citizens paid by the government. “Why not in India?” He asked.
I increased a demand in Parliament:
Annual Health check-up should be the legal right of every citizen.Post Kovid -19, we are seeing a sharp increase in heart failures and other health issues. Early detection can save life.

He said, “Healthcare should not remain a privilege for the aristocratic class,” he said that regular medical examination should be available to all, not only for those who can tolerate them.
He finished his post with a powerful line: “Is covered“(If there is a check-up, life is).
Interestingly, Chadha’s speech was also made in Parliament, while Vice President Jagdeep Dhikar was still on the chair. Later, Dhankhar resigned from his post for health reasons.
Why does it matter
Since the epidemic, doctors and hospitals have suddenly reported an increase in heart attacks, strokes and other serious conditions, even among young people.
Many of these cases could be caught earlier through regular health check -up.
Health experts agree that early detection saves life and reduces the cost of treatment and in many cases, the symptoms avoid getting worse. Tests such as blood pressure check, ECG (for heart health), blood sugar levels and cholesterol screening can warn people about risks before becoming an emergency.
If annual health check -up is a legal right, it can be a major step towards creating healthcare in India, rather than just more preventive than just curative.
