To know how prevalent nepotism is in the industry, Radhikka Madan has worked in a lot of films in Bollywood. Sharing his opinion on the matter, he said that aspiring actors with parents and acquaintances in the industry get many films to improve their craft. Whereas outsiders like him are thrown out of films at the very first mistake.
Radhika Madan, known for being a part of films like Angrezi Medium, Sarfira and others, started her acting career in 2018 with Pataakha. During a conversation with Shubhankar Mishra, he spoke his mind about the existence of nepotism in the Hindi film industry. The actress admitted that it exists, like every other industry. However, he added that a ‘star kid’ has the advantage of working in 2-3 films, even if he did not perform well in his first film. He said in Hindi, “They get 2-3 more films to learn and then say, ‘Now you will learn, look there is improvement.’ (He gets many movies to learn from and people pat him on the back for improving in every movie.)
But that’s not the case for someone like him, who has no connections or family in the industry. Madan said that when it comes to him, filmmakers are like, ‘You can’t act, we gave you a chance, you are out.’ This is when they think that it is a matter of life and death and hence, they develop survival instincts.
“If I make one mistake, they will fire me, I will not get a chance to do 2-3 films to learn acting. (On my one mistake, they will remove me. I will not get a chance to learn acting in many films)” He said that outsiders like him are expected to come to the sets only after honing and honing their craft . However, according to insiders, it is said that they are hard-working and will get better in the next film. This is the only thing that doesn’t seem right to him. But since it is present in every field, she has no problem with it, but she cannot deny this truth of B-Town.
