I am absolutely sure that before this scene, before saying this line, Aditya Dhar ji – who takes more care of all these things than me – had told me to extinguish the cigarette long before saying this line. And neither will there be smoke coming out of your mouth, nor will there be smoke anywhere on the screen, nor will there be a cigarette in your hand. Because it is very sacred and pure for us

Madhavan further said that the cigarette had been extinguished long before the lesson. He said that the audience would not see any smoke in the frame or any continuity of acting during the scene.

He expressed respect for the Sikh community and stressed that the team was keeping religious sentiments in mind and had no intention of causing any crime. He also mentioned his personal practice of visiting the Golden Temple before each film release and urged the audience to trust his intentions.

The actor said that although his character is shown smoking in the first sequence, the act does not continue during the recitation, underscoring that the portrayal was handled with care.
