Actor R Madhavan recently talked about the need for the age-appropriate casting of women leaders in films. He insisted on being careful about his choice to avoid having “sleegy”.

Madhavan, who played a person in his 40s in ‘Aap Jaisa Koi’, accepted his age -related insecuities in an interview with Hindustan Times. He said, “The first time you become a hit about your age, when your children’s friends start calling you uncle. It kills you with shock but then you have to come with it.”

The 55 -year -old mentioned that aging also affected his professional options. The actor further said, “When you are doing films, you realize that you have to be careful in the choice of heroines, as they still want to work with you, but it seems that the actor is having fun on the pretext of the film.”

“People feel that there is Ash Kar Raha on the pretext of (people feel that they are having fun using films as an excuse). If it is a huge feeling coming out of a film, he is honored to the character of the character,” he said.

“It is also realized that my body’s strength is not such that I can do things like the age of 22. It is necessary for me to realize that the suitability of that age and the kind of people I am working with is align that it does not look like a gray.” Madhavan said.

‘Aap Jasia Koi’ includes Madhavan as Shreeranu Tripathi, a Sanskrit Professor and Fatima Sana Sheikh as Madhu Bose. Tripathi is a person brought to a rigorous Jamshedpur-based family, headed by patriarchy, who has to drink or interrogate her husband. Bose belongs to an independent family, and believes in speaking his mind, objects to the systemic situation of women and does not lead.

Madhavan will be seen next time in the detective-actions-thriller ‘Dhurandhar’ of director Aditya Dhar, which will feature Ranveer Singh, which is scheduled to release on 5 December 2025.
