Qualcomm has announced a new mobile processor for the mid-range smartphone, Snapdragon 6 General 4. The company is promising that the latest chip is more efficient and long battery will offer life. Qualcomm claims that it is capable of giving rapid overall performance and 5G connectivity to Snapdragon 6 General 3 chipset. Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 General 4: Features and Specs

According to Qualcomm, Snapdragon 6 General 4 is built on a 4Nm process, with a new architecture Qualcomm Cryo CPU. It contains up to 2.3GHz in a prime core, three performing core at 2.2GHz, and four efficiency core occurs at 1.8GHz. The company claims 11 percent improvement in CPU performance, 29 percent increase in GPU performance and 12 percent better power proficiency compared to the previous generation, Snapdragon 6 General 3.

For the first time in the Snapdragon 6 series, the 6 General 4 chipset is equipped with an advanced adreno GPU, which supports 4K gaming with Snapdragon game super resolution, which wisely upscale visuals. Features such as Adreno HDR fast blend and adreno frame motion engine should help in smooth graphics and low power consumption while maintaining high frame rates.

Snapdragon 6 General 4 also introduces the first-in-series on-device general AI support, which enables rapid and more efficient AI-manual functions such as content summer, email drafting and voice assistants. Qualcomm Hexagon NPU now now supports int4 precision, enhancing AI workload with greater efficiency.

For photos and videos, Qualcomm Spectra ISP supports the 200-megapixel photo capture. Features such as Snapdragon low-light vision (LLV), multi-frame noise, and staggered HDR should help in better image quality in different lighting conditions. The chipset also supports 4K HDR video capture and simultaneous photos and video recording.

Snapdragon 6 General 4 Snapdragon comes with 5G modem-RF system, which supports MMWave and Sub-6GHz 5G with peak download speed up to 2.9GBPS. It also introduces Triple-Frequency GNSS (L1/L5/L2) for highly accurate location tracking. Qualcomm Fastconnect System ensures reliable Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 for better wireless connectivity on Snapdragon 6 gene 3.

For audio, Snapdragon 6 General 4 contains Qualcom Aptx defective audio streaming and Snapdragon sound technology, which provides high quality, interval-free listening experiences. It also has a clear voice calls and AI-in-operated noise cancellation for immersive gaming sound. With Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ support, the latest chipset enables rapid charge via USB Type-C.
