PVR has sued Madock films for Rs 60 crore for the cancellation of the last minute of the dramatic release of Bhool Chuk Chuk Chuk. Madock Films have yet to issue an official statement on the same.

Multiplex chain PVR Inox has filed a lawsuit against Madock Films for the cancellation of the dramatic release of Magd and forgiven the dramatic release in the eleventh hour and carrying it on a digital platform. According to a source close to the series, the company has filed a suit on 16 May demanding release of the film on prime video. The team has demanded that the film be released in theaters first, and the normal eight -week window should go to a digital medium only after a window.
Meanwhile, reports also show that PVR has sued Rs 60 crore for the cancellation of the last minute on Madock films. While the production team cited national security between India and Pakistan, which was increasing tension as behind the decision. The theater series alleged that the cancellation of the last minute caused considerable financial loss.
A source in the industry further shared that many schools, colleges and malls have been closed to the north, and many cities have already been placed under red alert. Under such unprecedented circumstances, the production house says the film’s release in theaters will not be possible. The decision to go for a digital release stems from the desire to maintain the speed made during promotion.
It remains to be seen whether PVR demands financial compensation, fights to stay in the film, or whether Madock manages to streamline the film’s release next Friday. Clarity on development will come only after the next hearing on Monday.
