Pushpa 2, made under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers, proved to be a flop at the ticket window. Be it domestic or foreign release, the film is witnessing a historic performance. As per estimates, this mass action drama has collected over Rs 185 crore at the worldwide box office in its first Sunday (fourth day). Pushpa 2’s total global earnings reached around Rs 750 crore in the extended opening weekend alone.
Apart from its historic box office performance in India, the film also performed well in international markets. Allu Arjun’s film has grossed around Rs 585 crore from the domestic markets, while it brought in US$19.25 million from overseas, which is Rs 163 crore in Indian currency.
Pushpa 2 will be the fastest film to enter the Rs 1000 crore club, all set to break it in just 10 days.
With such a great performance at the box office, the film broke all the records of the previous weekend and emerged as the best performing Indian film ever in its first weekend. It topped the charts, leaving behind the previous record holder – Baahubali 2 directed by SS Rajamouli.
Sukumar’s film is all set to mark its grand entry into the coveted Rs 1000 crore club in just 10 days of its release at the worldwide box office. This will be the fastest film to enter this prestigious box office club. As per the current trends, the film is aiming to earn around Rs 1300 crore to Rs 1500 crore globally.
