Pushpa 2 is set for a grand release in 3,000 overseas locations in 6 languages
As Pushpa 2: The Rule gears up for its release, expectations are high for it to become one of the biggest box-office shows of 2024, with its wide release strategy promising unprecedented collections in India and overseas.

Telugu superstar Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule is set for a grand release, releasing across theaters in six languages: Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Kannada and Bengali. The announcement was made during a grand press meet in Hyderabad on 24 October, which was attended by leading distributors from various states, demonstrating the wide reach and anticipation of the film.
The makers revealed that Pushpa 2 will launch across 3,000 locations in overseas markets, promising an immersive cinematic experience for fans across the globe. The non-theatrical business of the film has already reached Rs 420 crore, the highest ever business for any Telugu film. This impressive figure underlines the tremendous pre-release hype surrounding the film.
Karnataka distributor Laxmikant Reddy stressed the potential of the film, saying, “We are confident that Pushpa 2 will surpass the opening day collection of Rs 30 crore of KGF 2.” With an expanded strategy, Pushpa 2 is set to release across 500 single screens in Karnataka, which will significantly increase its visibility compared to its predecessor.
In Tamil Nadu, regional distributor, Mali AGS Cinemas expressed optimism for a double digit opening, mirroring the release strategy of GOAT (Greatest of All Time), which debuted on 806 screens. Mali said, “We are confident that Pushpa 2 will capture the audience’s attention just like our previous successes.”
Kerala distributor Mukesh Mehta announced round-the-clock shows to meet the demand, aiming to surpass Leo’s opening day collection of Rs 12 crore. Meanwhile, in the Hindi and Bengali markets, distributor Anil Thadani described the upcoming release as “a dream to achieve for anyone in the coming years”, highlighting the ongoing extensive promotional efforts.
Directed by Sukumar, the film has a strong supporting cast including Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, along with Jagadish Pratap Bandari, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj and Anasuya Bhardwaj.
The film’s technical crew includes cinematographer Miroslav Kuba Brozek, editor Naveen Nooli and composer Devi Sri Prasad.
