Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, performed brilliantly at the Hindi box office on its third day and managed to collect a whopping Rs 64-66 crore. These are staggering numbers but interestingly, it won’t be the biggest day for the film as Sunday will be even bigger and even crazier. The total 3 day earnings of Pushpa 2 is now Rs 183 crore and the extended weekend earnings will be Rs 250 crore.
Pushpa 2 broke earlier on Saturday; Nets a mind-numbing Rs 65 crore
To note, the Hindi version of Pushpa 2 is not contributing much from the South Indian circuit as the film is preferring to be watched in its original/regional dubbed version. Thus the Rs 250 crore number looks better than that. A reasonable price for a 4-day weekend in Hindi could be around Rs 280-290 crore. The Hindi version of the Allu Arjun starrer is reported to be of blockbuster status and this assures of its long and strong run till Sankranthi. The Hindi net of Rs 500 crore is just a formality and what remains to be seen is whether it can become an all-time grosser by beating films like Stree 2 and Jawan.

Pushpa 2 Global Update after 3 days
Pushpa’s global earnings will cross Rs 550 crore at the end of the third day and by the end of the extended weekend, it will gross around Rs 700 crore. After the weekend, the collection of the film will depend on Hindi language. The performance in the domestic market has been poor due to skyrocketing ticket rates, but they have been reduced significantly on weekdays. It remains to be seen whether it is too late or whether it is at the right time.
Pushpa 2 will become the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024 in about a week from now, surpassing the collections of Kalki 2898 AD. Unless something goes terribly wrong, it will be targeting global revenues of over Rs 1300 crore. Pushpa 2 is a critic proof film and has performed as it was expected to perform globally.
