Pushpa 2: The Rule starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil is finally releasing on the big screens this weekend. Thanks to its stellar pre-sales at the ticket window, the mass action drama is set for a historic opening at the box office.
Pushpa 2 (Hindi) recorded 2.45 lakh admissions in advance booking; 4.50 lakh pre-sales final target
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 is showing exceptional trends in advance bookings. As of 11 pm (December 3, 2024), the mass actioner sold 2.43 lakh tickets across the top three national chains – PVRinox and Cinepolis for the opening day alone. PVR Inox alone has recorded 1.97 lakh admissions, while Cinepolis has sold around 46,000 tickets.
It would end up breaking 2.45 lakh tickets in the top chains. So far, the film has sold around 50,000 tickets on Saturday, 55,000 tickets on Sunday, 50,000 tickets on Monday and around 90,000 tickets on Tuesday across the national chains. The Allu Arjun starrer will see a big jump in advances tomorrow, the last day before its full release on Thursday.
Ideally, such tentpole films register double sales on the last day. However, considering the craze and pre-release hype, they may go even further and break a higher figure. As per the current trends, advance sales of around 4.50 lakh admits are expected to end in the top chains of Pushpa 2.
Pushpa 2 creates history at Rajhans Cinemas; Eyeing a solid start of Rs 60 crore in Hindi
Pushpa 2 is performing best in the Hindi region in Gujarat and Maharashtra. Talking about the non-national series, the film has sold around 14,000 tickets at Moviemax and is expecting to reach the final of around 20,000 tickets, with the possibility of touching the figure of 22,000, which beats the previous best – Stree 2. Will also leave it behind. On the other hand, the film Rajhans wrote history by registering the biggest growth ever in theatres, with one more day left. It has sold around 35,000 tickets at Rajhans, beating the previous record holder- KGF Chapter 2. Other non-national cinemas are also recording solid pre-sales.
Pushpa 2 is expecting a bang opening of Rs 57 crore to Rs 62 crore in Hindi and is also trying to touch the Rs 65 crore mark. However, this will depend on spot booking and walk-ins on Thursday. Overall, the masala entertainer is aiming for a historic opening of Rs 250 crore worldwide.
