Punjab Floods: Salman’s Being Human Foundation sends boats to adopt villages
Actor Salman Khan’s human foundation has become involved in rescue and relief work as Punjab is facing floods. The Foundation has sent five boats to flood affected areas. It has also planned to adopt flood affected border villages near Hussainiwala.

Actor Salman Khan, who is also known for his philanthropy, has moved forward to support Punjab amid severe floods due to heavy rains. His ‘Being Human Foundation’ has sent five boats to increase rescue operations in flood affected areas.
Three of these boats are actively engaged in saving, giving food and assisting volunteers on the ground. The remaining two were formally handed over to the Ferozepur border. Punjab tourism president Deepak Bali also confirmed the foundation plan to adopt the hit border villages with flood near Hussainwala.
The actor also addressed the issue on Sunday during the episode ‘Weekend Ka Var’ on ‘Bigg Boss 19’. Speaking at the show, he mentioned, “We are doing as much as possible. We have contributed to the relief funds. Even famous singers of Punjab are helping in every way, they can do their rivals aside.”
Many celebrities of Hindi and Punjabi film industry have moved forward to help the people of Punjab. Comedian-actor Kapil Sharma expressed grief over the situation in Punjab through social media. Sharma wrote, “Heartbroken by seeing my Punjab due to floods.
Sonu Sood, an actor with roots in Punjab, said, “Punjab is my soul, we should ensure that every family gets back its cattle. It is not just compensation; it is about restoring dignity and existence.”
Local artists and actors have also joined hands to give their assistance. Punjabi singer, Indrajit Singh Nikku said, “We are singers, we want people to decrease, wherever help was less and to reach the administration and help, we are trying to reach and help, we need mosquito nets, torpulins and every essential items.”
Efforts are not limited to monetary donations; They expand to adopt villages and ensure the provision of necessary supply. Gurdas Mann, Diljit Dosanj, and Ammi Virk are among many celebrities who are contributing significantly to the relief work. Their works include adopting villages, providing medical supply and organizing logistics for ongoing relief work.
Karan Auzla and Gippy Grewal offered practical support, such as arranging motorboats and distributing the silgies for cattle.
