Punjab Flood: Diljit Dosanj, Ammi adopted village, Sonam supports relief groups

Actors Diljit Dosanjh, Ammi Virk and Sonam Bajwa have supported flood victims in Punjab. Dosanjh has adopted 10 villages, while Virk is supporting 200 families. Bajwa has donated to the organizations that are actively working on the field as rescue teams.

Punjabi actors Diljit Dosanj, Ammi Virk and Sonam Bajwa, among others, have ralled to help the victims in flood affected areas of Punjab. The severe floods due to heavy rains have killed at least 29 people in 12 districts. From adopting villages to donating money, famous celebrities are providing significant assistance in immediate relief and long -term recovery efforts.

Dosanjh has joined the army along with NGOs and local authorities to adopt 10 villages in Gurdaspur and Amritsar. His team focuses on providing essential things like food, water and medical aid. Actor-singer shared the update on his Instagram story.

Virk has promised to assist 200 families affected by the floods. He expressed his crisis by seeing the situation of people living in Punjab.

In an Instagram post, the actor of ‘Cuzmat’ said, “I have been destroyed by seeing our people without a roof. In our small attempt to bring comfort and stability, we are adopting 200 houses to support those who have lost everything. It is not just about shelter, it is about hope, dignity and strength to resume.”

Sonam Bajwa also shared that she is donating to organizations that are actively working on the field as rescue teams. He urged his fans to do so.

“In these difficult times, my heart leaves for Punjab and all people affected by floods. The images and stories coming from there are really heartbreaking, but what I expect is a feeling of unity and flexibility that Punjab has always shown. I am doing my share to help organizations to work actively on the ground, and I also tell you that you also work.”

He further emphasized, “Every contribution, no matter how small it is, can make a difference in someone’s life now. Let’s come together and stand by Punjab in this important time (SIC).”

Meanwhile, Ammi and Sonam’s upcoming film ‘Nikka Zeldar 4’ has also been postponed due to Punjab floods. It will not be released on 21 October.

Earlier, actor Sonu Sood also confirmed his commitment to help. In an Instagram post, he said, “With all of you, we will all meet on their feet. Punjab is my soul. Even if it takes everything, I will not come back. We are Punjabi, and we don’t give up (SIC).”

Other stars like Gippy Grewal, Himanshi Khurana and Karan Aujla are also supporting relief efforts. The outline of support from famous celebrities comes when thousands of people in Punjab struggle with the influence of floods.
