After much speculation, producer Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films officially shared exciting details about two of the studio’s most awaited projects, Kantara 2 and KGF: Chapter 3. Speaking after winning their respective national awards, Kiragandur shared important updates with fans during the media interaction. New Delhi.

He confirmed that Kantara: Chapter 1, starring and directed by Rishabh Shetty, is progressing well. “We have completed about 30 percent of the filming, and the next schedule starts in September. Kiragandur said, fans can expect the film to be released in theaters by August 2025. The prequel, which is currently being shot in Kundapura, will delve deeper into the story that enthralled audiences across the world.

Meanwhile, for KGF, Kiragandur told fans about the much-awaited sequel. Although work has not started yet, he mentioned that an update can be expected in the next four to five months.

Vijay Kiragandur expressed immense pride after the double win at the National Film Awards, where Kantara and KGF Chapter 2 won multiple awards. Reflecting on the success he said, “These awards represent the hard work and dedication of our team. It is not just about commercial success; Kantara has captivated audiences because of its portrayal of human and nature conflict intertwined with divine elements. Deeply affected.”

He also stressed that the huge box office success of KGF Chapter 2, which grossed over Rs 1200 crore with its impressive action choreography, played an important role in elevating Kannada cinema to the national level.

Kantara won Rishabh Shetty the Best Actor award and was also recognized as Best Popular Film for Providing Wholesome Entertainment at the 70th National Film Awards.

Meanwhile, Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2, directed by Prashanth Neel, won the National Award for Best Action Direction and Best Kannada Film.
