Priyanka Chopra’s brother Siddharth was ‘necessary damage’ to her success, says mom Madhu: ‘He just grew up…’

Priyanka Chopra was in India to attend her brother Siddharth Chopra’s engagement in August 2024. The actress’s mother Madhu Chopra recently spoke openly about Siddharth. He called him ‘collateral damage’ to PC’s success and revealed that he grew up on his own.

In a conversation with Rodrigo Canales on the podcast Something Bigger Show, Madhu Chopra shared that after her daughter Priyanka Chopra stepped into acting, she used to travel with her for shoots. Talking about its impact on his son Siddharth Chopra’s life, he said, “Siddharth was instrumental in all of Priyanka’s success.”

The doctor told that her husband was busy with his work and she was with Priyanka. Thus, she said, “He (Siddharth) has simply grown up on his own.” Chopra told that his son was still a teenager at that time. She became emotional during the conversation and said that there are some things that everyone has to deal with.

When Madhu Chopra was asked how, she revealed that she still sees her son ‘struggling every day’. He expressed his faith in God and believed in just counting his blessings. Chopra said she had two ‘great’ children who loved and took care of her. He concluded by saying that he did not desire anything else.
