Actress Priyanka Chopra wanted to meet her late father Ashok Chopra, her husband Nick Jonas and daughter Malti. He said that his father would have chosen Nick as his life partner.
Actress Priyanka Chopra, who often talks about missing her late father Ashok Chopra, recently expressed in an interview how she wanted to see him meet her husband, singer Nick Jonas, and daughter Malti. The actress also said that if her father had got a chance, he would have chosen Nick as his life partner.
Ashok Chopra died in 2013 after a battle with cancer and Priyanka, 43, said that when it came to Nick about what he wanted in a husband, she took everything into consideration.

She also talked about the qualities she admires in Nick and how they align with her appreciation of her father. “Whenever I want to be inspired again, I go to the studio to watch Nick work because he’s in the zone, and he creates from ideas and inspiration, and he puts things together so beautifully,” she said, emphasizing how much her father would have loved this quality of Nick’s.
Calling Nick a ‘very intelligent person’, Priyanka said that her father would have wanted someone like him in his life. Admitting that she is not that intelligent, Priyanka said that she is “the balance you need, the yin to your yang”. She added, “It would have been one of my wishes that my father would have met my husband and my daughter.”

Priyanka has always said that her father Ashok Chopra, who died in 2013, influenced her life in a big way. She maintains her connection to him through memories and a wrist tattoo dedicated to him.

The couple got married in a lavish ceremony at Umaid Bhawan Palace in 2018. Their wedding celebration lasted for three days with both Christian and Hindu traditions.
They welcomed their first child, daughter Malati Marie Chopra Jonas, via surrogacy in 2022.
