Citadel: Honey Bunny, the highly anticipated Indian spinoff in the Citadel universe, is less than a month away from its release. The action-packed trailer of the detective series starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu has raised excitement among the audience. Priyanka Chopra, who headlined the American version, recently reviewed the upcoming series. He also mentioned his character’s connection with the show.
In a recent interview with Forbes India, Priyanka Chopra talked about watching Citadel: Honey Bunny Series. She revealed that she had only watched the first two episodes so she didn’t know everything about the show. However, the actress said it was ‘very nice’.
Priyanka praised Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s performance, calling her ‘incredible’. She added, “And there’s a connection between my character and Honey and Bunny, which was really fun for me to enjoy.”
PC shared that he thought Varun Dhawan and Samantha were amazing in the series. He also praised the writing and the way the show was shot. He praised director duo Raj & DK. Priyanka said that she is really impressed with this series.
Apart from Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles, the cast of Citadel: Honey Bunny includes Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Saqib Saleem, Sikandar Kher, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar and Kashvi Majmundar.
The series is directed by Raj and DK and produced by Sita R. Developed by Menon. It is produced by D2R Films and Amazon MGM Studios. The show is executive produced by The Russo Brothers’ AGBO and Raj & DK.
The official description of the series under the trailer revealed, “When stuntman Bunny recruits struggling actress Honey for a side gig, they are thrown into a high-stakes world of action, espionage and betrayal. Years later, as their dangerous pasts are revealed, estranged Honey and Bunny must reunite and fight to protect their young daughter, Nadia.
Citadel: Honey Bunny is scheduled to premiere on November 7 on Amazon Prime Video.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra herself is shooting the second season of her series Citadel. She will reprise her role as Agent Nadia.
