Priyanka Chopra recently shared a childhood incident related to her mother Madhu Chopra during the promotion of her upcoming Prime Video film The Bluff. The actor recalled how his mother reacted strongly when she sensed danger during a cab ride in Delhi, and compared it to the fierce character that Priyanka now plays on screen.

during a conversation with ANIPriyanka told that she was only 11 years old when this incident happened. She and her mother were traveling alone in a cab while staying in a hotel in Delhi, when the driver suddenly took a route that Madhu did not recognise.

She said, “We were in a cab, I must have been 11 years old. We were staying in a hotel in Delhi. Suddenly, I don’t know, I saw my mother holding the driver by the throat. Apparently, he took a turn which she didn’t recognize. She said it was a shortcut, but it was just me and my mother there alone. He held her neck from behind and asked her to go back to the main road.”

Priyanka revealed that her mother even slapped the driver and insisted that he return to the main road. He said, “She said, I am with my teenage daughter. I had never seen my mother like that. After that, I did not argue with her on anything for four months. I don’t know if my mother would have reacted like this if she was alone. Because I was with her, she was trembling when we came back to the hotel.”
