Priyanka Chopra-backed Marathi feature film ‘Paani’ to release in October

Marathi feature film ‘Paani’ directed by Priyanka Chopra will be released in October. The film won the National Award in 2019.

The upcoming Marathi film ‘Paani’ produced by actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas has finally got a release date. The film is directed by Adinath M Kothare, who is also a part of the star cast. It will hit the theatres on October 18, 2024.

‘Paani’, produced by Priyanka Chopra and her mother Madhu Chopra’s production house Purple Pebble Pictures, won the 66th National Film Awards in 2019 under the Best Film on Environmental Conservation category. Sharing the film’s theatrical release date, PC wrote, “This one is so special. Our Marathi feature film ‘Paani’ is all set to release in theatres on 18th October. See you in theatres! (sic).”

Talking about the film’s theatrical release, Priyanka Chopra said, “I am thrilled to share ‘Water’ with the world, it is a true passion project that tackles an important issue. The film is special, and challenging to make, but very relevant to the times we live in today. It is an inspiring story of one man’s journey to find solutions that will radically change the lives of everyone around him.”

Produced by Priyanka Chopra’s Purple Pebble Pictures, ‘Paani’ is also backed by Neha Barjatya and late Rajat Barjatya’s Rajshri Entertainment. The film has Mahesh Kothare and Siddharth Chopra as associate producers. Written by Nitin Dixit, the film stars Adinath M Kothare, Rucha Vaidya, Subodh Bhave, Rajit Kapur, Kishor Kadam, Nitin Dixit, Sachin Goswami, Mohanabai, Shripad Joshi and Vikas Pandurang Patil.
