Veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan is all set to reunite with Akshay Kumar after 14 years, raising hopes of another cinematic success. The director, known for his successful collaborations with the actor in films like De Dana Dan and Garam Masala, expressed excitement about his upcoming project, acknowledging the pressure that comes with high expectations of the audience.
In a candid statement to PTI during the IIFA Awards, Priyadarshan said, “Every film I have done with him has been a super hit. People say that I am the reason for Akshay to do comedy, but I do not believe in all those things. I don’t.” I took advantage of his sense of humor on screen. We are working after 14 years and I expect it to be a challenge. We may not be able to live up to the expectations of the audience, but I am trying my best.

The director also praised Kumar’s professionalism, calling him a “director’s favourite” and comparing him to Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. “He is a disciplined actor. After Amit ji (Amitabh Bachchan), he is someone who is a dedicated actor and who works on time. He listens to the director,” said Priyadarshan.
As fans are eagerly waiting for their reunion, Priyadarshan is also looking forward to the release of the third installment of the popular horror-comedy franchise, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which is set to release in theaters this Diwali.
The makers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 released the teaser of the film on Friday, September 27. The video showed a gorgeous glimpse of Vidya Balan’s character, Manjulika, and also revealed other characters from the show. While Trupti Dimri and Kartik Aryan can be seen romancing in stunning scenes, it seems like the makers have deliberately kept Madhuri Dixit’s character under wraps.
