Preity Zinta has been shuttling between India and the US since marrying Los Angeles-based financial analyst Gene Goodenough. Expressing her grief, Preity shared an update on social media and assured fans that she and her family are safe “at the moment” amid the ongoing devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.
Preity Zinta wrote on Twitter, ‘I never thought I would live to see a day where fires would devastate the neighborhoods around us in LA, with friends and families either evacuated or on high alert. Will be kept on, snow and fear like ashes falling from the hazy sky. “Uncertainty about what will happen if the winds don’t calm down with children and grandparents.”

He further said, “I am saddened by the devastation around us and grateful to God that we are still safe. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who have been displaced and lost everything in these fires.” Hope the wind calms down soon and the fire is brought under control. Many thanks to the fire department and all the people who helped in saving lives and property.
On January 9, Priyanka Chopra took to social media to express her gratitude to the “brave” first responders who are working tirelessly to aid those affected by the wildfires. He shared an Instagram Story showing responders battling the blaze that has devastated thousands of acres of land.
Priyanka wrote, “A big thank you to the incredibly courageous first responders. Thank you for working nonstop throughout the night and continuing to assist the affected families. @lasdhq @losangelesfiredepartment @lapdhq.”
Earlier, Priyanka had shared a video which showed parts of Los Angeles engulfed in wildfire. In a similar situation, actress Nora Fatehi had evacuated California on January 9 after the wildfires wreaked havoc in Los Angeles.
A massive wildfire that broke out on January 7, 2025, forced more than 30,000 residents to evacuate their homes. In response, California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency in Los Angeles.
