Prashanth Neel, director of the blockbuster film KGF Chapter 2, expressed his gratitude after the film received recognition at the 70th National Film Awards. The film won the prestigious awards for Best Kannada Film and Best Action Direction (Stunt Choreography) at the ceremony. In an emotional statement, Prashanth Neel shared his happiness on receiving the National Award for KGF Chapter 2.
He expressed his deep gratitude towards the film’s lead actor Yash and praised his performance, which played a vital role in the film’s success. He said, “I am truly honoured to receive this National Award for ‘KGF Chapter 2’. I thank Yash for his exceptional performance and the entire team and crew for their tireless dedication. My heartfelt thanks to our audiences for their unwavering support and the media for their pivotal role in this journey.”
Apart from celebrating the achievements of KGF Chapter 2, Prashanth Neel congratulated Rishab Shetty and Hombale Films for their well-deserved recognition for Kantara. He further added, “Congratulations to Rishab Shetty and Hombale Films for their well-deserved recognition for ‘Kantara’. This achievement is a great moment for Kannada cinema and I am grateful to everyone who made this possible.”
At the 70th National Film Awards, KGF Chapter 2 received critical recognition, winning two prestigious awards. The film was awarded the Best Kannada Film for its narrative. Additionally, it won the Best Action Direction award for stunt choreography, which was awarded to the stunt coordination team, Anbariv.
Meanwhile, the film also starred Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt and others in pivotal roles.
Rishab Shetty also won the Best Actor award for his brilliant performance in Kantara. The film also won the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment award.
The awards ceremony in October will felicitate the winners and celebrate their contribution to Indian cinema. President Draupadi Murmu will present the awards at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.
