Prashanth Varma recently shared a post on exes and talked about how rejection is a blessing. Soon after, the internet started speculating that it could be Ranveer Singh. Ranveer and Prashanth were supposed to work together for ‘Rakshas’ but the actor backed out. However, now the ‘Hanuman’ director has clarified the matter.
Verma told Hindustan Times about why he shared it, “It was a very common feeling that came to me in the morning and I thought of posting it. I was thinking about the overall journey. If people had not rejected me in my initial years, I would not have been able to make Hanu-Maan. I was feeling grateful.”

He also revealed how he doesn’t post regularly for fear of ‘misinterpretation’. Talking about Ranveer Singh and the project falling through, he said, “There were different visions about making the film. As an actor, I really respect him. And I believe he also respects my work… We still talk to each other. It (the film) just didn’t happen but our relationship continued.”
Varma also said that ‘Rakshas’ has been put on hold for now. Varma last directed ‘Hanuman’, which was a huge hit.
