Prabhas to miss Kalki 2898 AD Japan premiere due to injury: Report
Actor Prabhas, who was earlier believed to be attending the Kalki 2898 AD premiere in Japan, will reportedly not attend the event. According to reports, the actor has sprained his ankle.
Prabhas’ much-awaited film Kalki 2898 AD is going to premiere in Japan. Ahead of the grand event, Prabhas who was originally scheduled to attend is now reportedly said to not be attending. Reports suggest that he will not be able to attend the premiere due to an injury he sustained during filming. Official confirmation is still pending.
A fan recently shared a post containing a letter written by Prabhas. The note read: “Thank you for your continued love and support of me and my work. I was looking forward to going to Japan, but unfortunately, I sprained my ankle during filming and I couldn’t attend Our distributor, Twin, has been incredibly supportive, and we are grateful for their efforts in ensuring this. Kalki 2898 AD Will be ready for release on Friday, January 3. I look forward to meeting you all soon. – Prabhas (sic).”

Kalki 2898 AD created new records at the box office as soon as it was released, Crossed the milestone of Rs 1000 crore. After the success of the film, the makers are now focusing on the sequel. A recent report indicates that they have decided to wait for the actor to return from maternity leave before starting to shoot his part for the second installment of the franchise.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Prabhas will be next seen in Spirit. As mentioned earlier, Prabhas will play the role of a cop in Spirit. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga had earlier told that the film will be made on a huge budget of Rs 300 crore. He confidently said that it will earn Rs 150 crore on its opening day.
