Mumbai Police recorded statements from the managers of filmmaker Rohit Shetty and actor Ranveer Singh. The crime branch has also replicated the firing sequence at Shetty’s residence by tracing the scooter route of the accused from Pune to Mumbai.


Mumbai Police has recorded the statements of the managers of actor Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Rohit Shetty. Separately, the crime branch intensified its investigation by reconstructing the sequence of events leading to the shooting at Rohit Shetty’s residence. This included transportation of scooters from Pune to Mumbai.
The reconstruction was done with the four accused currently in custody, Swapnil Sakat, Aditya Gayaki, Siddharth Yenpure and Samarth Pomaji. Investigators recounted each step of his alleged journey to verify key details and gather additional evidence.

Meanwhile, during the recreation, the officers accompanied the accused from the place of purchase of the scooter in Pune, through his stops on the way, to the final destination outside Vile Parle station in Mumbai.
According to sources, the crime branch recreated every scene from purchasing the scooter in Pune to taking it to Mumbai by road and the places where the accused stayed during the journey to parking the scooter outside Vile Parle station in Mumbai.
During the entire process, the Crime Branch team continued interrogating the accused. Their statements were cross-checked against the recreated journey, with the entire exercise recorded on video for use as evidence.
Financial details exposed in the case
Investigators have also uncovered new financial details during the ongoing investigation. According to Mumbai Crime Branch, during the scene recreation, the accused revealed that after taking the scooter to Mumbai, the main accused Shubham Lonkar had given them an additional Rs 11,000.
Initial police statements indicate that a payment of Rs 40,000 was made. As the investigation progressed, more information came to light.
Earlier, Mumbai Crime Branch had officially said that the accused had received Rs 40,000. However, as the investigation progressed and inquiries were made, it was revealed that he was given a total of Rs 51,000, of which Rs 30,000 was used to purchase the scooter, while he spent Rs 21,000.
New suspects and ongoing police efforts
According to sources, the sixth accused in this case, Praveen Lonkar, will be taken into custody from jail in the next two to three days, as the legal process is still going on.
Despite these developments, the shooter and his accomplice are still at large, two weeks after the incident. Police efforts to locate and apprehend them are ongoing, as officers continue to pursue all available leads in this high-profile case.
