To honor his talent, Pinkvilla recently conducted a survey to determine which of his films left the biggest impact on fans and the results are finally! Can you guess the winner?
Pinkvilla organized a two -day poll starting on 27 February to find out which Irfan Khan film fans are the most cherished. Options included lunchbox, karva, Hindi medium, English medium and close single.
The results are, and lunchbox has emerged as the winner with 41.18% votes. Hindi medium followed closely with 35.29%, while Karwan achieved 11.76%. Nearly single and English medium got minimal votes, each earned 5.88%.
Now, the winning film turning to Lunchbox. Played by Ritesh Batra, this is a poignant story of 2013 gemstones, unexpected connections. Irfan Khan performed a deeper into a deeper as a solitary office worker, Sajan Fernandes, who finds Solas by a rape in an unusual bond by lunchbox. The film got global recognition, and the nuances of Irrfan strengthened their position as a timeless classic.
Meanwhile, the Hindi medium released in 2017 follows a Delhi-based couple’s struggle, which is to secure her daughter’s entry into an elite English-medium school. Appreciated by critics, the film stood out for its humor, social comment and magnificent chemistry between Irrfan Khan and Deepak Dobiyal.
Raj Batra’s depiction of Irfan, his desire to give a father torn amid social expectations and his best opportunity to his child, both were hearty and humor, which gave a great success to the Hindi medium.
Karvaana, the third most popular choice in the pole, is a heart-wrenching road comedy-drama, which hits the screen in 2018. Directed by Akash Khurana, the film takes the audience on an incident from Bangalore to Kochi, where three precious companions, Irfan Khan, Duller Salaman and Mithila Poker ignored themselves.
Irrfan Khan played the role of bizarre, Bhopali mechanic Shaukat and stole the show with his errorless comic timing and philosophical music on life.
