Pokeri, as mentioned earlier, is one of the most prestigious films of the actor’s filmography, with films such as Gheli, Thuppaki, Kathahi and more. The film revolves around Thamij, a police officer who goes to undercover as an evil to bring a criminal gang down.
Thalapathi Vijay’s Pokakiri is actually a remake of the Telugu film Pokiri, starring Puri Jagannadh. The Telugu version, which included Mahesh Babu in the lead role, came out in 2006 and Ileana D’Cruz was shown as a female lead. Similar to its remake, the Telugu version was also a major success.

The film features an artist of artists in Asin, Vadivalu, Napoleon, Prakash Raj, Simran, Nasar, and many more important roles, directed by Prabhu Deva. Famous cinematographer Nirav Shah crank the camera for the film, while Cola Bhaskar took care of the film’s editing. Mani Sharma has composed music for the film.
On the work front, Thalapathy Vijay was last seen in the Spied Action Thriller film The Great of All Time (goat), starring Venkat Prabhu. The film featured a contingent of actors including Prabhu Deva, Jairam, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Pranant, Mike Mohan, Sneha, Yogi Babu, and many more. The film hit the silver screen in September last year and mixed with fans and critics equally negative reactions.
The actor will be seen next time in the political action film Jana Nayagan, which H. Has played by Vinith. The film is considered to be the last film of the government actor before focusing on the government and 2026 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections.
Jan Nayagan is ready to include Pooja Hegde, Prakash Raj, Gautam Vasudev Menon, Mamita Baiju and many more lead roles. Anirudh will compose music for the Ravichander film, while Satyan Sourne and Pradeep E. Ragavas take care of the work and editing of the film’s camera respectively.
