A horrific dark web platform, kidflix, provided access to about 72,000 videos showing extreme hair sexual abuse, including crimes against very young children, Metro Informed
Launched in 2021, more than 1.8 million users were collected before the site was taken down on March 11, 2025. Authorities have arrested 79 persons associated with the platform, while more than 1,400 other suspects have been identified. Some of them were not only consumers of materials, but also to direct criminals of misuse.
In a particularly disturbing case, a 36 -year -old man, who allegedly arrested “his young son’s offering”. Investigators also identified a “serial abuser” located in the United States.
Operation Stream: A historic victory against child abuse
Under the leadership of German authorities, Operation Stream has been described as one of the most important cracks on child pornography in recent history, according to the deputy head Guido Limr of the Bavarian Criminal Police.
A total of 36 countries, including the UK, participated in the mission to eliminate kidflix. The forum featured unprecedented-scale misconduct, uploaded on an average 3.5 new videos, which were uploaded every hour-by-many, which had never been seen by investigators ever before.
Unlike most hair abuse sites, kidflix allowed users to stream both and download derogatory materials. The operation was highly systematic and profitable, earning tokens by purchasing access to users through cryptocurrency or by classifying videos or uploading new content.
Europeol’s Executive Director, Catherine de Bolley emphasized the increasing digital danger of child abuse, stating:
“Some try to frame it only as a technical or cyber issue, but it is not. There are real victims behind these crimes, and they are suffering children.”
Children rescued amidst investigation
As part of the operation, German authorities intervened 96 times to protect the children from the ongoing misuse. In 12 cases, he successfully stopped active exploitation. Overall, 39 children were kept safe during the investigation.
Senior prosecutor Thomas Gogar revealed that most identified suspects were between 20 and 40 years old, with an average age of 31 years. The oldest user was in his seventies, while the youngest was born in 2006. Many were dark users for a long time.
The authorities continued to move forward to bring more criminals to do justice and destroy the same network.
