The Poco F6 is one of the best performing phones under Rs 30,000 in India and this mid-range device is currently available with huge discount offers. Flipkart is offering a flat Rs 2,000 discount on the Poco F6, which makes the deal even more attractive. The device was launched in India at Rs 29,999 and is currently listed at a reduced price of Rs 27,999. So, who should buy this Poco phone and does it offer a good value proposition? Let’s find out.
Poco F6 is available at a huge discount on Flipkart, but is it worth buying?
The Poco F6 is one of the best phones under Rs 30,000. One of the most striking features of the Poco F6 is its performance. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, the device offers performance close to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is the processor found in more expensive phones. This makes the Poco F6 one of the best performing phones in its price bracket.
The phone scored an impressive 1.5 million on the AnTuTu benchmark, something you’ll rarely find any phone priced under Rs 30,000 matching this score. However, it’s important to note that the device does get warm after about an hour of intense gaming. Fortunately, it also packs a large 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging, so you won’t have to wait long for a full charge.
While the Poco F6 has a somewhat generic design, the black colour variant offers a sleek and classy look. The device is also IP64-rated for protection against dust and water splashes, giving it an extra layer of durability.
The Poco F6 also has one of the best displays in its price range. It features a high-end 12-bit 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen with a sharp 446 ppi pixel density and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The display supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Widevine L1, delivering vibrant colours and deep contrast. With a peak brightness of 2,400nits, the display is visible even in bright sunlight. Additionally, the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which is usually reserved for flagship devices.
Our internal testing has shown that the camera performance of the device is good. Photos taken in daylight are attractive and the colours produced are close to accurate. Details are captured better with the 50MP mode as the regular photo mode photos are not that detailed and are quite soft. It can also take good portrait shots with sharpness levels, colours, and details depending on the light metering.
However, the Poco F6 has one significant drawback – bloatware. The device comes preloaded with a number of third-party apps, and while many of these can be uninstalled, the presence of random ads in the user interface is minimal. But ads often appear after opening the app drawer or searching for an app, which can be annoying. Additionally, annoying rotating wallpapers appear on the lock screen, although this feature can be disabled.
The Poco F6 offers a great performance, a good quality display, and an excellent camera experience, all at a competitive price. However, the presence of bloatware and some ads in the user interface could be a deal breaker for some users. If you value a clean software experience, you should look for other options. But if raw performance and display quality are your first priority, the Poco F6 is a solid option, especially at its current discounted price.
