Taapsee Pannu is currently participating in the Paris Olympics 2024. She has grabbed everyone’s attention with her unique sari style on foreign soil to support her husband badminton player Mathias Boe. The athlete was coaching Indian players Chirag Shetty and Satwiksai Raj Rankireddy.
But after both these legendary players were eliminated from the international tournament, Pannu’s husband wrote a warm message for her. In his long Instagram post, he also announced his retirement as a badminton coach.
On the social media platform, Mathias Boe shared a picture with both the players and wrote, “I understand this feeling very well myself. Pushing yourself to the limit every day, being in the best shape of your life, and then things don’t go as you expected. I know you guys are disappointed, I know how much you wanted to bring back a medal for India, but it couldn’t happen this time.”
To keep an eye:
Encouraging the young players to continue their hard work, Matthias said, “But you have everything to be proud of, how hard you have worked in this Olympic camp, battling injuries, even taking injections to ease the pain, this is dedication, this is passion and this is a huge heart. You have won a lot in the past years and you are going to win a lot more in the future.”
Announcing his retirement as a coach, he said, “For me, my coaching days end here, I am not going to India or anywhere else, at least for now. I have spent too much time in the badminton hall and coaching is too stressful, I am a tired old man.”
Soon after his emotional post, his wife Taapsee Pannu replied in the comments section to cheer him up. She jokingly wrote, “But now you are a married man too. You need to take a step back. I have to come home from work everyday and prepare dinner and clean up. So hurry up!”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Taapsee Pannu will be next seen in Haseen Dillruba alongside Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal.
