After making headlines for several high-profile relationships, Pete Davidson is now focusing on molding the world’s perception of him. The Saturday Night Live alum has dated Ariana Grande and Kim Kardashian. He has also been romantically linked to Madeline Cline, Kate Beckinsale, Phoebe Dynevor and Emily Ratajkowski, among a long list of celebrities.

However, Davidson has distanced himself from public scrutiny about his personal life and has begun highlighting his professional work instead. In a recent interview, the 31-year-old comedian opened up about how challenging fame has been, especially with how the world views her relationships.

Davidson had to reflect on the times when his career was eclipsed by his high-profile dating history with celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande. Speaking to W Magazine, Davidson said, “I got hit in the face with a Hollywood shovel. It took a lot of time and I needed it. I’m very happy with where I am mentally right now.”

He further added, “I just want to be known for doing good work. I only want to be there when it’s a film, stand-up, charity or business venture. That’s when I want to be seen. I don’t do that.” I want to be that loser who only dates guys. I am not that.”

While his personal life has often been the focus of news, Davidson insists that he has met the people he has dated through work, and relationships have come about organically. On the Real Ones podcast, she claimed that during her time on Saturday Night Live, her friends’ jokes related to her personal life often came too close for comfort.

According to her, at the beginning of her career, she easily grabbed every opportunity that came her way, but with experience, she learned the importance of being selective. He told the outlet, “When you’re coming in for the first time, and you’re getting all these offers, it’s hard to say ‘no’ because you’re hungry. I literally made the mistake of doing everything. Now I’m older and wiser.” I am done.” And I’m realizing that less is more.”

Now, Davidson is trying to change the narrative. He wants to be known for his professional milestones in comedy, film and philanthropy rather than turning into tabloid gold.
