Actress Nimisha Nair shared a disturbing harassment incident in Mumbai, when two men allegedly stopped her cab and tried to scare her. The actress said she had experienced a similar incident earlier this year.

Actress Nimisha Nair has recently drawn attention to the harassment incident that happened to her in Mumbai’s Bandra East, which has raised concerns about public safety in the city. The incident took place in the early hours near Kherwadi flyover on the Western Express Highway, when Nimisha was traveling in a cab.
According to him, two people riding a scooter allegedly started harassing the driver after the cab overtook him. This led to a situation that soon escalated beyond a simple street dispute.

Men stopped the cab and tried to intimidate
In her latest social media post, Nimisha described how the men aggressively blocked the way for the cab and tried to scare both her and the driver. “These two decided to teach my Uber driver a ‘lesson’ for getting ahead of them,” he wrote. They reportedly abused, threatened and tried to force open the car doors and demanded her to roll down the windows.
The actor captured the tense moment on video
The confrontation, which took place on a busy highway, became more frightening as Nimisha can be heard in a video saying, “Please stop this, please stop this,” while the men continued their aggressive behaviour. Despite pressure, he did not comply with their demands and gave priority to his and the driver’s safety.

Reflecting on the incident, Nimisha described it as an example of uncontrolled aggression on the city streets.


This is not the first such incident
This was not the first incident of Nimisha facing harassment while traveling in Mumbai. He told that a similar incident had happened in Colaba earlier this year, for which he had lodged an FIR. He expressed frustration over the challenges in filing a formal complaint after the recent incident, citing busy work schedules and technical issues with the online system. However, she shared her intention to take action soon.
The incident has sparked a fresh conversation about the insecurity faced by women, especially while traveling late at night in urban areas.
