Ram Charan with its Sports Action Movie Peddi, released on March 27, 2026, has been slated to hit the big screen. The film’s cinematographer Rathanvelu has recently revealed new production details.
Rathanvelu revealed that Ram Charan’s 50%
Talking with Gulte after the SIIMA Awards, Rathnvelu revealed that about 50% of the shoot for Peddi was completed. The cinematographer said, “Paddi is actually taking shape well. About 50% of the film is over now. Ram Charan has done a great job in the film, even taken a change for it.”
“Ram’s acting, style and pronunciation are different from his other films, and Buchi Babu Sana has really written it well, and the story is really good. I am trying to shoot it in a different way, standing away from regular scripts,” he said.
Rathanvelu said, “Generally, if the script is inspiring, I try to go to the overboard. The film is inspiring like Rangasthalam, but I am trying to do it in a different way. I don’t want to repeat the same thing; we can already see it in a glimpse.”

Charan played a dual role in the film, including Kiara Advani, Anjali, SJ Surya, Srikanth, Sunil, Jairam and others. The film is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Despite high expectations, the film failed to make a significant impact between critics and audiences.
In addition, Ram is expected to work with director Sukumar, which is temporarily for the film, RC17. However, reports suggest that the project may take longer to get physical.
