Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha were among the many celebrities who watched the final men’s singles match of the prestigious Wimbledon Championships 2024 at the stadium. The crowd at the venue and people from across the world had their eyes glued to almost every moment of the thrilling encounter. Carlos Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic to win the Grand Slam title. Parineeti Chopra shared glimpses of the match on her Instagram Stories. One picture in particular caught our interest. Foodie Parineeti Chopra took the opportunity to enjoy a famous dish at Wimbledon: strawberries and cream.

The actress shared a mouth-watering picture of this dish served in a simple bowl/glass. We can see uncut luscious red strawberries with a thin cream on top. Parineeti simply captioned it, “Tradition”. As fans would know, this berry is a fruit that is “synonymous with the championship”. A specific variety of strawberries called ‘Melling Centenary’ is served at Wimbledon. They are supplied by a family-run farm located about 50 kilometers away from the grounds. According to Wimbledon’s official site, an average of 34.8 tonnes of strawberries are consumed every year during the matches, which usually last for two weeks.
