Parashakti vs Jan Nayakan: Producer Akash calls clash an unnecessary controversy
Amid the discussion over the release dates of Parasakthi and Jana Nayakan during Pongal, producer Akash Bhaskaran stressed that the situation is a normal occurrence for the festival period and urged the audience to look at it as a healthy practice.

Then it was reduced to five, and then three and two. During this time, the chances of only one film releasing are very low. It is quite common to see two films releasing. It is fair. I hope people will look at it as a healthy thing rather than looking at it from a competitive perspective.”
Bhaskaran clarified that the revised release date parashakti The film was made following recommendations from theater owners and distributors, not the film’s director or lead actor. He said, “We had to push the release date because many theater owners, exhibitors and distributors suggested that we release it with a gap of one or two days between major releases to make full use of the 10-day festival holiday. They said that if we release it earlier, they would be able to manage the showtimes in a better way and ensure that both the films get equal space.”

Details about the plot have been kept under wraps, but the recent audio launch in Malaysia attracted attention, as the film is notable for being Vijay’s last film before his anticipated political career.
