His X post read, “Let the flame of Tamil spread! To the Honorable Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin,
before i start watching the movie parashaktiI had no expectation that this film would become a clarion call for the elections that our alliance is going to face. Yes, my wish is not only that this film should be successful, but it is also my true blessing. This film is a victory garland based on the history of DMK. With love, Kamal Haasan… PS: I should have said this earlier, but my feelings took priority. The first praise goes to this biopic-fiction story, its director Mrs. Sudha Kongara and brother Sivakarthikeyan, who chose this story, worked hard for it and is going to achieve success.”

The post ended with, “My heartiest congratulations to all the actors who were a part of this cinema history including Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, Sreeleela, cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran, music composer GV Prakash, editor Satish Surya and all the technical artists who worked on this film.”

parashakti Sivakarthikeyan, Sreeleela, Ravi Mohan and Atharvaa are in lead roles.

The 71-year-old had earlier called for reforms in the film censoring process amid the postponement of Vijay’s Jana Nayakan due to the delay in certification by the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification). The Thug Life actor stressed that lack of transparency stifles creativity and harms the ecosystem of the industry.

Kamal will next be seen in director Shankar’s film Indian 3.
