Star Plus’ popular show Anupama has seen significant changes in the cast of actors Sudhanshu Pandey, Paras Kalnawat and Nidhi Shah after their exit from the show. While he cited lack of development as the reason for leaving, he hinted in a recent podcast that the show’s lead actress Rupali Ganguly may have also played a role in his decision.

In a podcast with actors Bhaktiyar Irani and Ali Asgar, Paras, who played Anupama’s younger son Samar and left the show a few years ago, said, “It’s been two and a half years now; I was the first one to leave. It’s I didn’t know I was quitting or I wanted to quit, but they don’t have a policy where you can be fired if you want to quit, there’s no exit clause. It gets spoiled.”

He further added, “I wanted my track to go ahead, but someone ended it suddenly. I know who it was. But because it was the number one show, the channel never interfered. If someone Said if he has any problem in shooting with me, then no.” Someone will question him. Everyone knows who the problem is.”

Nidhi Shah, who plays the role of Kinjal in the show, revealed that her scenes were shortened and there were issues with her clothes too. “There was a trigger point; It was a person. Our scenes were repetitive and we kept fighting. At one point, we didn’t want to do these scenes. There was a time when we did not want to work with each other in the show. Shah said, we would like to stay away from each other even on the set.

When asked if Rupali Ganguly was a factor in her decision, Nidhi replied, “She is a talented actress, and I’m just not being diplomatic. Out of ten of us, a couple created problems. Paras further said, “My scenes were also cut.”

Reflecting on her experience, Nidhi further said, “My scenes were also cut, and there was an issue with my clothes and hair too. This happened to me many times because I was given better clothes.”

Sudhanshu said that his character of Vanraj Shah became “repetitive”, so he decided to leave the show. Nidhi also revealed that Sudhanshu was physically unwell during the shooting of the show. “We would start crying while doing scenes. His pain, mental health and body were all messed up. He couldn’t stand properly; there was a time when he was so ill that he had to rest, and we Everyone was waiting. He was on 5-6 painkillers a day and had 15 pages of scenes to do alone.”

Anupamaa aired in 2020 and is enjoying a successful run on television.
