Paradise began streaming on OTT platform Netflix on December 24, 2025. The official update was shared via the social media handles of the streaming service.
Sharing the announcement, the post read, “Awarde Eh Cheriye Lokham Aano Swarga? Atho Awarde Chuttum Ullath Aano Swarga? (Is this small world heaven? Or the heaven that surrounds them?) Watch Paradise, now in Malayalam, on Netflix.”

Paradise is the story of a Malayali couple, Kesav and Amrita, who are set to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary. The couple decided to visit crisis-hit Sri Lanka in 2022.
However, against the backdrop of Sri Lanka’s turmoil, cracks begin to appear in their happy marriage. While exploring the country and witnessing the civil unrest, the couple is constantly faced with reality from their privileged perspective, giving them new insights into the world around them.
Additionally, the film also explores the married life of the couple, which has endured significant trauma and stress. This is evident in their contrasting reactions to personal trauma and unresolved marital issues.

Paradise stars Roshan Mathew, Darshan Rajendran, Shyam Fernando, Mahendra Perera, Sumit Ilango, Azhar Samsudin, Neerja Rajendran and others in lead roles.
Written and directed by Prasanna Vithanage, the film’s screenplay is written by Anushka Senanayake. The film is produced by Newton Cinema, while Mani Ratnam and Shiva Ananth are presenting it under the banner of Madras Talkies.
The Sri Lankan-Indian film has music composed by K (Krishna Kumar), while Rajeev Ravi has handled the cinematography. Editing has been done by Shrikar Prasad.
Ahead of its theatrical release in 2024, the film premiered at the 28th Busan International Film Festival on October 7, 2023, where it won the Kim Jiseok Award.
Roshan Mathew and Darshana Rajendran’s workfront
Roshan Mathew was last seen in the lead role in the film Ithiri Neram. Looking ahead, the actor will be seen in the co-lead role in Malayalam cinema’s first WWE-inspired film, Chhatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies. The action-comedy directed by Advaith Nair is expected to feature Mammootty in a cameo role.
Meanwhile, Darshana Rajendran will be seen in a pivotal role in the Mammootty-Mohanlal starrer spy drama, Patriot.
