Pakistani singer and songwriter Ali Zafar announced a cash reward of 1 million to Arshad Nadeem who wins gold medal at Paris Olympics 2024. He also appealed to the Pakistan government to set up a sports academy in his name.

Pakistani singer and songwriter Ali Zafar will give a reward of one million dollars to Arshad Nadeem, who won the gold medal in the men’s javelin throw event at the Paris Olympics 2024 on August 8. He also appealed to the Pakistan government to set up a sports academy in his name. He requested to give a grand welcome to Arshad Nadeem, who set a new world record by covering a distance of 92.97 meters.

Ali Zafar on his official X page congratulated Arshad Nadeem. He wrote, “@ArshadOlympian1 broke the record with 92.97 and won the gold medal for Pakistan! I will honour him with a reward of one million through @AliZFoundation (sic).”

Appealing to the Pakistan government, he wrote, “Let’s give our heroes the respect they deserve. I urge @GovtofPakistan @CMShehbaz to welcome them like heroes and set up a sports academy in their name. We can win 10 gold medals every year if our athletes and sportspersons start getting the support they deserve.”

27-year-old Arshad Nadeem created history by winning his country’s first medal in track and field. This is their first medal in 32 years in an Olympic event. Arshad defeated his good friend and India competitor Neeraj Chopra to win the Olympic gold in Paris. Neeraj won gold at the Tokyo Olympics, while he won silver at the Paris Olympics.

Arshad Nadeem cried after winning the gold medal at the Olympics and was wrapped in his country’s national flag.

The champion greeted his supporters who had come in large numbers to the venue to watch the final of the men’s javelin throw event held on August 8.
