Malayalam film Padakkalam, Sandeep Pradeep, Suraj Venjaramudu, Sharafudh and others starring, are well caught at the box office. Day 1 was opened with Rs 35 lakh, the film wrapped its initial weekend in a gross of Rs 2 crore. This continued to woo the audience and added Rs 1.95 lakh to Tally, its first week in Kerala, for a gross rupee of Rs 3.95 crore.
The film entered 55 lakh rupees in 9 days in the second week. It made a solid jump on 2 Saturday (day 10) and earned Rs 80 lakh. According to estimates, the film added Rs 90 lakh to the Tally on 10 days (Sunday), the total cum at the Kerala box office grossed Rs 6.20 crore. Padakkalam is performing better than his rival release circle and is behind Dilip’s Prince and Family, which is about to hit a mark of Rs 10 crore.
It will be interesting to see how the film’s fare is in the coming days. It will get a new competition from the next weekend as Tovino Thomas is returning to the screen with his much awaited film Narita.
