Uday, a rich young man, handles his father’s company after his death. He believes in living life. At a New Year party in 2007, he notices a simple and traditional girl, Sandhya, who was writing in a diary. Eager about him, he tracks him down with the help of his friend Fato.
She learns that she lives alone and runs a nursery. To get closer to him, he pretends to be a payment guest. After several attempts, he finally conquers his love and surprised him with 12 gifts on his birthday, with the previous one with himself.
Meanwhile, an insurance seller, Abhishek, and his colleague meet Sandhya, offering a life policy. She lists Uday as a beneficiary, which makes her believe that she loves her. However, he soon came to know that he had terminal breast cancer.
To make him the last days special, he takes him on a trip to Kolkata to spread his parents’ ashes in the Ganges. On the way, he teaches him to enjoy life. They celebrate Christmas together, and evening eventually expresses her love for her. A year later, Uday sits alone in the rain, remembering it before walking.
