O’Romeo, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and starring Shahid Kapoor and Trupti Dimri, grossed Rs. Earned around Rs 12 crore in its second week. Earning of Rs 90 lakh on 14th day. This is the first time the film slipped below Rs. 1 crore figure. The decline compared to last week is about 70 percent. That said, the film is soon heading towards its dramatic end.
Backed by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, O’Romeo took its two-week revenue to Rs. Earning Rs 54 crore at the Indian box office. It should aim to register a significant surge in its third weekend, although that doesn’t seem to be happening. Based on current trends, the film will complete its entire box office journey at just Rs. I am moving forward to decide. The figure of 60 crores.
Not that it changes anything for the Shahid Kapoor starrer, it’s just that, at one point, it even reached Rs. Earning Rs 50 crore felt like an impossible task, but with the help of BOGO offers and this open run, it has got there and then some. BOGO offers may boost the NETT numbers a bit, but they take a toll on SHARE because you are paying for that extra free ticket that gets taken out of SHARE. So it’s not really an economic benefit, more a perception plus, but hey…choosing between two poisons, it’s better than feeding straight away.
