Since the S24 Ultra, Samsung has been using special glass for the display that reduces reflections. However, typical screen protectors negate this advantage of flagship displays.
The OriArmor screen protector has a 7-layer anti-reflective coating that keeps reflectivity less than 0.8%. This is five times better than regular screen protectors, with a reflectivity of over 4.5%.
Additionally, the glass has a light transmittance of over 95% (compared to 91% for regular protectors). The low reflectivity and high transmittance make it feel as if the phone has no screen protector at all.
Anti-reflective coating and light transmittance are certified by TUV Rhineland. These features aren’t just about making the protector feel invisible – they have practical benefits too. As tested by Taurus Labs, OriArmor Glass has a hardness rating of 9H+. Testing also included over 8,000 drop tests (from 3.5 m/12 ft height!) with zero cracks, 25,000 scratch tests with no marks, and a 150 kg/325 lb tension test without breaking.
This toughness is built into OriArmor glass in the form of shock-absorbing layers and reinforced scratch resistance. This is what allowed it to survive all those tests without any broken edges.
