Oprah Winfrey is in great shape even at the age of 70. The TV personality celebrated her birthday in January when she posted a video of herself running on the beach and leading a healthy lifestyle. Six months later, The Color Purple star is looking fine and aging well.

The media mogul appeared on the Today show with Al Roker, where Winfrey opened up about her age and life lessons. Meanwhile, Roker, who joined the actress-producer on the show, revealed that Winfrey is showing more gratitude now than she was in her 50s and 60s.

In a conversation with the news outlet, the media personality said, “I realize there’s not that much time left, and I feel at peace with that.” She added, “It’s important for me to live well.” Winfrey confessed to the show host and the audience that her outlook on life changed after undergoing knee surgery in 2021.

Speaking to Roker, the TV star said, “I was getting weaker to the point where it was hard to even take two steps to get into the car. You know that pain.” She added, “When I finally went to the knee doctor, I said, ‘I don’t know, is it time?’ He said, ‘If you want to continue walking, it’s time. Do you like walking? It’s time.'”

Winfrey further revealed in the conversation that she never had any surgery and is grateful for the decision she made. The actress claimed, “I really felt like I had a new opportunity to live inside my body, which I hadn’t been able to do for years because I was overweight, and being overweight makes knee conditions worse.”

Winfrey told the show’s audience that aging is nothing to be afraid of. Roker added to her comments, saying, “Aging brings out who you are even more clearly.”

“I think I’ve evolved into a version of myself that’s smarter than before, that’s definitely stronger, that’s more alive and aware and conscious than before. I don’t think my edges are getting softer,” Winfrey concluded.

Meanwhile, Oprah Winfrey has tried her hand at a variety of media areas, and seems to be handling them all quite well.
