We managed to get a quick acquaintance with the new Reno15 series during Oppo’s special global launch event. This is a quick look at the Indian Reno15 Pro, which will retail as the Reno15 Pro Max in some other regions.
To avoid confusion, the Indian Reno15 Pro is a 6.78-inch phone, while the Indian Reno15 Pro Mini (6.32-inch model) is known as the Reno15 Pro outside India.
Here’s the lineup in India – you have the Reno15 Pro Mini on the left (called Reno15 Pro in the rest of the world), then the Reno15 in the middle, and the Reno15 Pro on the right (called Reno15 Pro Max outside India).

The Reno15 and Reno15 Pro Mini models have an interesting texture on the back, which gives a glowing effect when it catches the light in the right way. The Reno15 Pro, on the other hand, has a clean matte finish. It is pleasant to touch and repels smudges and fingerprints.
The Reno15 Pro has a full array of cameras on the back, starting with a 24mm f/1.8 wide-angle with a 200MP sensor. Next is an 85mm (3.5x) f/2.8 telephoto with a 50MP sensor, and a second 50MP sensor behind is a 16mm f/2.0 ultrawide with autofocus. There is another 50MP sensor on the front for an 18mm f/2.0 selfie camera.
Design-wise, the rear panel sports a 1.8mm AG glass camera island. Oppo calls it Sculpted Glass. There are a few different finishes under glass that give different reflections. Oppo says the square ring around the camera module can glow almost softly when light falls on it. It’s an interesting experience on glass; we like it.

The screen on the Indian Pro is a 6.78-inch unit with a 1272x2772px resolution and a 120Hz AMOLED panel that peaks at 1,800 nits.
The phone feels solid, yet it’s stable and quite light. It is just 7.65 mm thin and weighs 205 grams.
As for the specifications, the Reno15 Pro (or Pro Max outside India) packs a 4nm Dimensity 8450 along with up to 12GB of RAM. Storage is either 256GB or 512GB.
The price of 12/256GB model of Reno15 Pro is Rs 67,999 and the price of 12/512GB model is Rs 72,999.
