Oppo has announced the Reno series for the global market. This series includes two handsets; Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro. To recall, the Oppo Reno series was launched in China last month. However, it is speculated that there may be some differences between the variants released in China and other parts of the world.

The Oppo Reno 12 series features a MediaTek chipset, an OLED display with a high refresh rate, a 50 MP triple-camera setup, and a large battery with fast charging support. Now, here’s a look at the full specs and price of the Oppo Reno 12 series.

Oppo Reno 12 series: Features

Many AI features have been provided in the Oppo Reno 12 series smartphones. These features include AI LinkBoost, AI Eraser 2.0, AI Studio, AI Best Face and AI Toolbox. AI Eraser 2.0 is a copy of Google Pixel Magic Eraser, which will help in removing unwanted objects or people from photos.

The Oppo Reno 12 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC paired with 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Oppo Reno 12 runs on ColorOS 14.1 based on Android 14. Apart from this, the phone has a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

Furthermore, the Reno 12 features a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The panel has a pixel density of 394 PPI and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. The smartphone’s display is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and supports HDR10+.

For camera enthusiasts, the Oppo Reno 12 sports a 50-megapixel Sony LYT600 primary sensor with 1/1.95″ sensor size, f/1.8 aperture, and OIS. The main camera is a Sony IMX355 sensor accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel macro unit. For selfies, the smartphone sports a 32 MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and AF.

But what about the Pro version? The Oppo Reno 12 Pro has the same specifications as the ‘Pro’ variant. The Oppo Reno 12 Pro has the same display, battery, charging support, camera, software, and chipset as the vanilla Reno 12. The camera is the differentiator. The only difference here is that the Oppo Reno 12 Pro gets a 50 MP telephoto shooter with f/2.0 aperture and AF and an upgraded 50 MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and AF.

Oppo Reno 12 series: Price

For both devices, the Oppo Reno series will be available in two different colours. While the Oppo Reno 12 comes in Astro Silver and Matte Brown colours, the Oppo Reno 12 Pro comes in Nebula Silver and Space Brown colours.

The vanilla variant is priced at 499 euros, which is roughly Rs 44,660 for the 12GB + 256GB model. The Pro is priced at 599 euros, which is roughly Rs 53,610 in India for the 12GB + 512GB model. These will be available starting this June in Europe and the UK, with other markets gradually rolling out. Availability in India hasn’t been revealed yet, but Oppo is expected to release details soon.
