After its global debut in June, the Oppo Reno 12 series has been launched in India. The series includes two smartphones, the Reno 12 and the Reno 12 Pro. It is priced starting at Rs 32,999 and competes with smartphones like the Nothing Phone 2, OnePlus 12R, iQOO Neo 9 Pro and Realme GT6. But what sets the Reno 12 series apart from most of its competitors is the built-in AI feature. After the Realme GT6, the Reno 12 series is now making the premium AI feature even more accessible by bringing it to the mid-range smartphone segment. The Oppo Reno 12 5G comes only in an 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the Reno 12 Pro 5G comes in two models with up to 12GB RAM. The Reno 12 is priced at Rs 32,999 and will go on sale from July 25. The Reno 12 Pro is available at a starting price of Rs 36,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model, while the 12GB and 512GB version is priced at Rs 40,999.
Oppo has also announced several discounts on these smartphones. Users can get instant cashback of up to Rs 4,000 on purchasing Reno 12 series smartphones. The company is also offering no-cost EMI option up to 9 months. These devices will be available on Oppo’s official website, Flipkart and other retail stores.

Display: The Reno 12 series features a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,200nits of peak brightness
Processor: Both the smartphones are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy SoC
Storage and RAM: The Oppo Reno 12 5G comes in a sole 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the Reno 12 Pro 5G comes in two models, both with 12GB RAM and 256GB and 512GB options.

It also includes a 50-megapixel telephoto with a Samsung JN5 sensor that offers 2x portrait zoom and up to 20x digital zoom. The Reno 12 replaces the Pro’s telephoto camera with a 2-megapixel OV02B10 macro camera that takes shots as close as 4cm.

-The Oppo Reno 12 series features a quad-micro curved Infinity View screen, with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the Pro variant and Gorilla Glass 7i on the base model. Both models feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1,200nits.
-The Reno 12 series is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy SoC, which has an octa-core CPU. This is accompanied by the MediaTek APU 655 that enhances AI capabilities, enabling features such as AI Clear Face, AI Writer, AI Recording Summary, and AI Eraser 2.0.
-Both models are backed by a 5000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support, promising four years of battery durability for long-term reliability.
-The Pro version includes a 50-megapixel main camera with Sony’s LYT-600 sensor and OIS. It also has a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with Samsung JN5 sensor for 2x portrait zoom and up to 20x digital zoom. The 50-megapixel JN5 sensor is used for selfies.
