Oppo has launched its new mid -segment smartphone, Oppo K13 5G in India, which is at an initial price of Rs 17,999 (8GB/128GB). The phone comes with several high-end features despite the slight pricing. For example, the phone packs 7,000mAh battery, 50-megapixel primary camera and several AI capabilities. It also has a pleasant design and 6.67 inch AMOLED display. Let’s fly deep into Oppo K13 5G professionals and opposition in this review by India Today Tech.

Oppo K13 5G: Beautiful Design

Oppo K13 5G comes in two color options: icy purple and prism black. I am using the latter for a week and I really like it. While the Oppo K13 5G has a slim profile that easily slips into your pocket, it contains a little bulk. It measures 8.4 mm in thickness and weighs 208g.

It claims an elegant design, highlighted by a squall camera module on the rear, with a dual-camera setup. Metal details on the camera island feel a sophisticated, premium to the phone. The rest of the back panel maintains a clean, minimal form with geometric accents. The only grip is that it raises a lot of fingers. Fortunately, there is a case in the box.

OPPO K13 5G: Big and Bright Performance

Oppo K13 5G has a 6.67 -inch AMOLED flat display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Impressively, the K13 5G display is bright enough, which lets me work directly under the sun. It has a gloss of the peak of 1200 nits (although there is no HDR support). I have also seen Big Bang Theory on the phone and have not felt any inconvenience at any point. In fact, I am impressed by its vivid colors and smooth touch.

The flat display enhances gaming experience by providing more accurate and comfortable control. I did not face any accidental touch. In addition, Oppo K13 makes the minimum bezels experience more immersive on 5G displays. The phone also has an in-display fingerprint sensor which is fast and reliable.

Oppo K13 5G: Performance and Battery

Oppo K13 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 6 General 4 chipset, which is in association with 8GB RAM (LPDDR4X). It runs on Coloros 15, which is based on Android 15. It comes in two storage variants: 128GB and 256GB (UFS3.1).

In my use, I found that Oppo K13 5G is a fast enough phone that easily handled the use of day to day well. Whether I was scrolling through Instagram, watching YouTube videos, or playing graphically demanding games, it offered a smooth performance without any interval. However, it may be better to switch between apps, or multitasking. I noted the K13 5G struggle because I jugged between YouTube videos and Instagram DMS.

To carry forward the boundaries, I put the phone under several benchmark tests. On AnTuTu, Oppo K13 5G scored 6,93,089, while on Geekbench, it scored a multi -core score of 3073 and 1002 for a single core, which is a decent number for a phone at this price.

Through these functions, Powering, Oppo K13 packs a 7,000mAh battery with 5G 80W flash charge support. And I have to say, this is the best part of the phone. I usually expect a sub-RS 20,000 smartphone that makes me through workday-10 to 12 hours of use. However, Oppo K13 5G has gone above these numbers and beyond.

Even after hours of intense use, playing games such as call of duty, streaming netflix and listening to music for more than four hours, the phone lasts comfortably for 24 hours on the entire charge. I saw 3 episodes of Big Bang Theory on the phone – 1.5 hours – and the battery fell only 7 percent (97 percent to 90 percent).

The speed of charging is also very fast. It provides an impressive 80W charging speed, charging the device from 0 percent to 100 percent in just one hour. In my opinion, Oppo K13 5G stands out in the sub-RS 20K segment for its extraordinary battery capacity.

Oppo K13 5G: Camera

On the photography front, Oppo K13 5G plays a 50-megapixel primary camera and 2-megapixel depth/portrait camera. The images of the day are quite vivid and bright, but the details can be better. While images are clear (in focus), the camera sometimes struggles to capture the texture/details of the subject correctly.

The front camera clicks on decent images. While it struggles slightly in low light, if there is enough light in your environment, selfie will be cured.

Portrait is coming in mode, both rear and front cameras struggle in edge detection, but they are fine for social media posting.

Oppo K13 5G: Decision

Oppo K13 5G is a good-luxury package at the initial price of 17,999 (8GB/128GB). There is another version of the phone with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage for Rs 19,999. In fact, it is more than quite well. At this price, the K13 5G hosts several premium features including a Snapdragon 6 General 4 chip, 7,000mAh battery and an attractive design. There are some areas that could have been better, for example, camera system. If you are looking for a marathon runner who does not break your bank, the K13 5G is worth watching.
