Find is coming as the much awaited successor for N3, the N5 makes it on top of almost every meaningful way starting with the design.

At 4.21 mm in its unfolded position, the Find N5 is barely thicker than the USB-C port, and when the 8.93 mm is turned back, the N5 takes the Crown as the thinnest book-style foldable phone.

In that context, the Honor Magic V3, which was the current Slimpson Champion, revealed 4.35 mm and twisted 9.3 mm, while the Galaxy Z fold 6 measures 5.6 mm and 12.1 mm respectively.

So how did Oppo reach here? All of this begins with the Titanium Flexian Kaja which is 26% smaller in size than the Kaja of N3, offering better stiffness. Oppo employed a mixture of a complex 3D-printed titanium wing panel and carbon fiber content to help keep the weight of N5 down to 229 grams.

The N5 is not only thin and light, but it is the world’s first IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 water resistance ratings for a foldable. This means that it can handle warm water and water jet with pressure to sink. The phone frame is made of 7000 chain aluminum.

The new Kaj helped in a long fight with a dreaded performance on the main panel. Oppo FHD+ went with 8.12-inch Ltpo OLED main screen with resolution and 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The panel gets 9.9: 9 aspect ratio and 2,100 nits of peak glow.

The 6.62 inch Ltpo OLED with FHD+ resolution and 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate is external screen. This panel claims 20.7: 9 aspect ratio and 2,450 nits peak brightness. Both screens are compatible with Oppo Pen Styles, which are sold separately.

Oppo Find N 5 will be available from Cosmic Black, Misty White and Dusk Purple Colors on 28 February. The latter will be China-infinite. The pricing is set to SGD2,499, which is converted to € 1,799 or £ 1,499. Pre-orders start from tomorrow.
