The Oppo F27 Pro+ has been launched in India in the Rs 30,000 price segment, which already has a lot of good options. It is the newest smartphone in this segment with key features like a 120Hz panel, 5,00mAh battery, 64-megapixel dual camera setup and more. So what’s special here?

The Oppo F27 Pro+ is India’s first smartphone to come with an IP69 rating, which makes it water resistant. The company says that the USB port, microphone, and earpiece are covered with certain materials that keep water out. Also, the IP69 rating ensures that the device is protected against dust and high-pressure water jets at temperatures up to 80 degrees Celsius. It also has an IP68 rating so that it can be submerged in up to 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes. This is one of its major selling points and will prove to be very helpful during the rainy season or when you accidentally drop your smartphone in the pool.

Interestingly, Oppo has announced the Oppo F27 Pro just 3 months after launching the Oppo F25 Pro in India. The official reason behind this quick upgrade is unknown right now, but it could be because Oppo wanted to give users different options in terms of design, IP rating, and camera. This is something that is revealed by the specs of the new phone. Except for these three areas, all the features are the same between the two phones.

The Oppo F27 Pro+ has a dual camera setup at the back instead of the three sensors that we saw on the F25 Pro model. It has a 64-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera. There is no ultra-wide angle camera, but you do get the highest water-resistant rating in the industry – IP69. There is an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front, which seems to be a downgrade from the 32-megapixel Sony IMX615 camera seen on the F25 Pro version. Apart from this, you also get a different design with the new model. There is a vegan leather back panel with a cosmos ring around the camera sensors.

The rest of the specifications remain the same. It includes a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz display, MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC, and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC fast charging technology. It runs on Android 14 OS.

Talking about the price, the 128GB storage model of Oppo F27 Pro + is priced at Rs 27,999. At the same time, the price of 256GB storage model is Rs 29,999. The smartphone will be sold in two color options including Dusk Pink and Midnight Navy.
