Oppo quietly launched the A5i and A5i Pro, although they are not completely novel designs. Both are based on Snapdragon 6s 4G Jane 1, a rebrand of Snapdragon 662. The same chip was used in Oppo A5 Pro 4G, which shares several similarities with these two new models.
Both A5i phones have a 6.67 “LCD display with HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. They can reach 1,000 NITs shine. Outdoor visibility is helped by anti-glare coating. Pro also has 6.67” LCD (HD+, 90Hz), but it is a high quality IPS panel.

The front and back are protected by China Southern Glass and Panda Glass. Oppo lishes both as “twice reinforced” and the phone has conducted MIL-STD-810H test and obtained certification from SGS.
However, ingrass security on A5I is very basic with IP54 ratings. The Pro model is slightly better on IP65. Both phones support wet touch.
The A5i is powered by a 5,100mAh battery, which promises to maintain at least 80% of its capacity after four years of use. The phone supports 45W fast charging.

Vanilla A5i: 5,100mAh battery • 45W charging
If you want more juices, the Pro has a 6,000mAh SI/C battery (still with 45W charging). The larger battery makes Pro slightly and heavy, but not much – it is 7.68 mm/186 g for vanilla and 7.99 mm/193 g for Pro for Pro.
The difference between Vanilla and Pro model continues. The vanilla model has a very original 8MP main camera on the back, the front house is 5MP module. Both are limited to 1080p @ 30fps video recording.

Oppo A5i Pro has better ingrace protection and a large 6,000mAh battery.
The Oppo A5i Pro stands with a 50MP rear camera with a broad aperture (f/1.85 vs. f/2.0), but the front module is still only 5MP camera. There is a secondary module on the back and since its function is not listed, we are considering a depth sensor.
While both phones are powered by Snapdragon 6s 4G genes 1-an old 11Nm design with Cortex-A73 and A53 CPU core will be a small performance difference between an adreno 610 GPU-un. The pro model has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The vanilla model has low RAM, LPDDR4X 4/6GB, and 64/128GB slow EMMC 5.1 storage.

As the name of the chipset explains, it only supports 4G LTE networking. Local connections are handled with dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (AC) and Bluetooth with APTX. The vanilla model also has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, not Pro, but has NFC and an IR blaster. Finally, both phones have a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
Oppo A5i Pro is available in the Philippines – now, it is especially sold through Shopee, but starting from June 20, it will also be available from Oppo’s Tiktok Shop and Lazada. Pro is priced at PHP 9,000, which $ 160/€ 140/. Converts to 14,000.
